Best Practices in Treatment for OCD
This full day event brings together individuals living with OCD, their supporters, and mental health professionals in a supportive, collaborative, and interactive environment.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Peggy Richter Psychiatrist and Head of the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre, Sunnybrook, Toronto, which in October 2017 opened the first intensive residential treatment program for severe OCD in Canada. She will give an overview of Advances in the Treatment of OCD Across the Lifespan.
There will be two streams of breakout sessions, one for professionals and one for individuals with OCD and their supporters/family members. Participation in either stream is open to all attendees. These sessions will be led by clinical psychologists with expertise in evidence-based treatment of OCD and a mental health coach with lived experience of OCD. Lunch is included and features an inspirational speaker with lived experience with OCD.
